Citibank is the largest foreign bank in Israel, and has a history of financing of weapons deals between Israel, the USA, and the weapons corporations that supply them.
Since the beginning of Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza, Citibank has financed a $500million bond to Israel that they can use for whatever they want to.
Citibank has been warned by a UN Panel of experts to stop funding weapons corporations or risk complicity in their human rights abuses.
Citibank was the lead bank in arranging the purchase of F-35 fighter jets by Israel that they are now using to slaughter people trapped in Gaza.
We all need to take action whatever way we can.
Please raise this internally, speak to your colleagues about this, demand that Citibank stop financing weapons deals, and refuse to take part in any work that contributes to Israel’s genocide.
